A True Example of Duty Beyond Uniform In today’s fast-moving world, acts of kindness often go unnoticed. However, some moments remind us that humanity still shines through ordinary people. One such inspiring incident is the story of woman police constable Jaya Shanti from Andhra Pradesh. One day, while returning home after duty with her small child, Jaya Shanti noticed an ambulance stuck in heavy traffic on the Samar Lakota–Kakinada Road. The situation was serious because the ambulance was carrying a patient who needed immediate medical attention. Although she was off duty and the place was outside her work area, she did not ignore the situation. Holding her child in one arm, she stepped into the busy road and began clearing traffic with the other. Her quick thinking and selfless action helped the ambulance move forward without delay.
